Well, I am carless today, but my mom has kindly offered to drive me to the bank as well as the store for some groceries. Other than that, I will be housebound today. So I am taking advantage of the time & getting some stuff done.

1. Bank to cash savings bonds [done]
2. Grocery shop [done $10.48 at farmer's market]
3. Brown ground turkey & portion for freezer [done]
4. Make a pasta salad for the week [done]
5. Clean kitchen, wash floor [done]
6. Clean living room, dust & vacuum [done]
7. Clean nook by basement stairs [done]
8. Clean litter box [done]
9. Clean downstairs bathroom [done]
10. Tend container garden [done]
11. Clean upstairs bath
12. Clean bedroom
13. Clean out closet
14. organize rest of financial paperwork
15. Give self mani/pedi
16. Laundry [2 loads done]

    That said, I'd go car shopping. Have you seen the sales papers this weekend? Are you going to look around? The 4th of July sales are pretty hot. Here, anyway.

    Monkey Mama - yes, I've been doing some car shopping. I went out yesterday & for a little today. The problem is that the dealers are all closed tomorrow and there appears to be no real 4th of July promomtions. Its exactly the opposite of what I thought the situation would be! I am pretty close to being settled on the car I want to go with. I will likely be making the purchase on Monday.

    I am taking tonight/tomorrow to do some more research (especially around reviews). I am talking this over with my parents (for advice and experience) and am trying to make this as unemotional a decision as possible. Thanks for the comments/advice!
