Amex Bonus

Heard from somewhere that Amex has a bonus offer if you enroll for it. $20.00 statement credit for a $20 purchase on Amazon.com.

So I spent $20.94 on a carton of toilet paper. We will be set for a LONG time and we got a TON of TP for $0.94 out of pocket. THe credit already posted on the card!

    Thanks for the heads up on the offer. I'm not always paying attention to those Amex offers.

    Well, I checked both our accounts and we don't have the offer. I don't currently need to spend anything at Amazon, but for those that might, I would contact customer service to see if they can add the offer for you.

    Interesting deal. Of course, promos like that are only a small incentive to get you through the door, and of course, long term, it may or may not cost you more to enroll into it.

    Personally, I have an Amex rewards card. I love it and use it whenever I can. When the points pile up high enough, they direct deposit cash back into my checking account. I love it.

    Tabs - Its just a one-time offer. NO obligation and no 'getting me through the door. I already had the card. It has a $0 balance. I used it to buy something I need on a regular basis (toilet paper). They credited the promised amount. I paid my $0.94 and the balance is back to zero.

    So nearly free toilet paper for zero effort.
