I've been bad, bad, bad with my spending

May 19th, 2007 at 04:03 am

In the last week and a half, I've been VERY lax in my spending. I've been eating out a lot & its cost me... A LOT. I'm not going to make excuses (of which there are plenty), so I'm just going to suck it up and move on.

I am going to get in a much OT as possible by the end of the month. I've had some changes at work, which make the overtime not so beneficial, plus much more stressful.

So I'm going to do what I can with the OT. In the meantime, I am challenging myself to not eat out at all from today to the end of the month.

I went grocery shopping today and I'm going to pack breakfast & lunch for work tomorrow. In fact, I'm going to leave my cash and credit cards at home. I'll bring my debit card (and leave it in the car while at work), because I need to get gas tomorrow. But thats it. I swear.

I haven't been very good at following through lately, so I'm working on it. I will be spending my lunch hour at the library, which should help. I have a few books to pick up AND I requested The Game (that Michael Douglas movie). It was on tv a week or two ago and I didn't get to watch it, so I requested it from the library instead.

I also have Pan's Labyrinth from Netflix (which I am cancelling at the end of the month).

Eating out is one of my joys, but what I have been doing is if I eat out I have to match this amount so therefor this month I have hardly eaten out.

I would not leave my debit card in my car, I just don't trust it especially since my car was broken into twice

    Good luck

Let me know how you like Pan's Labrynth. We hated it, but one of my friends LOVED it. It's kinda an all or nothing movie. You either love all of it or nothing about it. Hope you like it though! Smile
