2018 Financial Goals (FLUID THIS YEAR)

• I have a goal of an average 15-20 OT hours per 2 week pay period while at the current job
• Continue monthly networking events
• Revamp household budget
• Meal plan weekly in an attempt to lower all household expenses.
• Continue tracking all personal and household spending
• Complete cash only gifts/holiday spending in 2018
• Find a new job
• No new debt
• Payoff existing debt
• Post here weekly at least. Helps for accountability
• Continue 16% 401k contribution personally until new job/budget reset

Medical Plan Changes, Freebies & Roommate Update!

The new roommate is working out well. She's home a lot more than my last roommates (who were from out of state). But she seems clean & quiet & likes tv and movies, so we have something in common.

So my work is changing medical plans. These are some significant changes and are very detailed. To help provide us with extra information, they held a Medical Fair today. I got some good information, and quite a few freebies, including a reusable grocery bag, 2 insulated lunch bags, a notepad, recipe book, journal, pin, pen, 2 sets of measuring spoons, and a spatula.

These freebies in no way cover the extra money I am going to be out with these changes, but hey- I got something out of it, I guess.

Tonight, I have book club with friends. Gonna get some fun in!

Oh, and did anyone watch American Horror Story? Its on the dvr to watch later. Looks interesting!

I haven't watched it yet, but I have it saved to watch sometime this weekend. I hadn't heard anything about it, but saw a promo shot that I thought looked interesting.

It seems that a lot of new insurance plans are taking effect... and somehow, none of them lead to cheaper premiums for the employees. I hope they at least offer you great coverage!
