Explaining my name

April 6th, 2006 at 02:29 am

I know, I know...its a bit much, 2 entries in one night, but I'm so excited about this Blog. I just wanted to explain my name. I really want to buy a house. I've been saving for the last year. Between savings & an inheritance, I have about 17k total. I want to be in a really good position before buying the house, since I'll be doing it as a single person.

I have 25k in student loans, but no credit cards or auto payment(while saving in the last year, I've worked to pay them off). Mainly, I'm concerned with affording the mortgage, taxes, insurance and utilities. I really want to find a more stable job before I buy.

It is your blog, you can post as often as you'd like!

Be sure to save enough that you can handle the expenses of home ownership. I hate it when someone finds out they are "qualified" for a home but no one thinks about the expenses that come regularly and remember, there is no landlord to call them in to! Save, save, save............

I know how it feels to want to own a home. I started saving when I was a teenager and managed to buy a home at age 21. (But homes were so much cheaper then) I wish you luck!!
