Library List - Leap Year Edition

March 1st, 2008 at 04:29 am

I think its fun to share what I currently have borrowed from the library. Books are borrowed for 2 weeks, movies for 1. I'm planning on a sitting in front of the tv day on Sunday, so I planned accordingly Smile

DVDs:
300
Agatha Christie's The Moving Finger
Bones Season 1, Disc 4
Haunted Highway
The Hitcher
Lady in the Water
Next (With Nicholas Cage)
Poirot: Dumb Witness

Books:
Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien [Ficton]
Thou Shall Prosper: Ten Commandments for Making Money by Daniel Lapin
You're Broke Because You Want to Be by Larry Winget

I'm always open to suggestions on movies & books. Feel free to give me ideas.

hmm, you'll have to let us know what you think of all those books and movies... don't you just LOVE the library? I sure do!

eh, I would be careful about the Rich Dad Poor Dad book. There is a very contentious post about that book in the forums, and actually caused a horrible fight in my family.

cptacek: Do you want to elaborate on that? I read the book and got a certain amount out of it and yet knew there were areas that I disagreed on. You have to be able to take something out of each book you read that will make a difference.

I'm interested in the post you're referring to. I haven't started readin it, but I've heard it has some great ideas about money, but isn't really a specific plan. I'll stick with Dave Ramsey on that Smile

DH liked Lady in the Water, I didn't. I love the library and have not checked out the video department yet because I can't get past the books! We also have two more gift certificates good for at least another 15 movies at our local video store....

Little secret. I went to Costco the other day to kill some time, this was after my post about how I hate Costco... anyway, I took out my planner and started writing down the authors of the books at Costco and figured I would look them up and see if any of the authors have books at the library.

I guess the real "fighting" that I remember was from the emails my sisters/brothers and I sent around. There wasn't much fighting in this post.
