I am a social person, but I also am a homebody. Contradictory, I know, but I love to go out with friends, then come home & putter around the house.

I had a conversation recently with a friend about renting versus buying. And to me, buying was the right decision. But for him, it wasn't.

So I've been thinking about the reasons that I'm house happy.

1. I love watching the cats running up and down stairs
2. Seeing my plants basking in the sun
3. Making dinner in the kitchen
4. Sitting on the deck in the summer
5. Looking at the field behind the house from my bedroom window.
6. My walk-in closet
7. The airflow from the front to back of the house when the windows are open
8. The wildlife outside - lots of birds and bunnies
9. Having a place of my own and a sense of ownership and responsibility

Its amazing that just looking around and seeing the plants can make me smile. Its so simple for me.

Of course, there are problems - maintenance, repairs, money, roommates (on occassion). But to me, its absolutely worth it!
